Photos from around São Paulo and Curitiba

Hey everyone,

I know it has been a while since my last post, but things have been pretty hectic over here and will only get busier when I head to Rio next week.  I decided to follow the wise words of former scholar, Tyler Swain:  shorter posts, more photos!  Here ya go:

Hanging out with some of my favorite co-workers during a sushi luncheon at Duke Energy International!
It’s not a Brazilian product unless Neymar is somehow part of the advertising campaign.
Speaking of advertising, this is awesome!
“Ain’t no love, in the heart of the city.” Taken at Avenida Paulista.
Weekend trip to Ibiúna with my friend Mayumi. Fresh air!!!
Why do guys pay more for the buffet? We eat more!
My buddy Pedro and I cheesin’.
Curitiba Art Museum–Big Brother’s definitely watching.
Avenida Paulista. São Paulo’s Champs-Élysées complete with hipsters, freestyle rappers, and skaters. Definitely an interesting area.
I was invited to dance “forró” by some co-workers. Considering my inadequate shag dancing skills even after freshman orientation, two years of O-staff, and three years at Wofford, I turned my attention to the forró band. The photo doesn’t do it justice, but this guy had a real passion for playing the triangle.
And there I was, thinking we had it bad with the Wofford intramural fields being a conglomeration of lacrosse, club soccer, and terrier tag, etc. I don’t think Coach Traylor could top this though (taken at a gym while watching my first handball match!).

That’s all for now–hopefully I can get back on track with some more posts!

Até mais,
David
