Hey, I'm Tyler Swain and I want to show you what a FRESHMAN at Wofford can do his or her first year. Chances are if you're reading this, you've probably already heard that Wofford consistently ranks in the top 10 colleges nationally for the percentage of students earning academic credit abroad. If you're like me, though, you think, "I'll never be able to do that anytime soon." Well, again like me, you're mistaken! A few months ago I had no real grasp both as to what interim is nor what I'd be doing.
To help the masses and, more importantly, you, I've teamed up with the college to show how Wofford lives up to its name.
From Dec 31st through January 26th I'll be in France, spending one week in Paris and the rest of the time in Arles (on the mediterranean). My roommate, Philip, has teamed up with me so you can also check out what he's doing on a similar Interim project in Viña del Mar, Chile. We'll get video updates from him occasionally.
I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. I'll be updating this blog quite frequently (every day or two) so be sure to come back often. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, and I'll be sure to answer them through the videos as well.
