So Wofford does plenty of fun things for students: while I was in France this January they brought an Ice Skating rink to campus and coming up this Spring they'll be hosting a concert by a well-known band (whose name they've yet to release). Well, that's great for current students, but the Office of Alumni Affairs handles cool events for Alumni and their families. This is one of them--an Easter Egg Hunt! Check out the fun everyone (kids and adults alike) had during this sunny Sunday afternoon on March 18, 2008!
Although I haven't finished my first "official" second semester vblog, I hope that this might satisfy your appetite at least a little until I get back on campus. I actually filmed this two days ago, and yesterday was even better. I went horseback riding down to a secluded hot spring where I opened my pores in a naturally heated steam room, covered myself in mud, baked it dry, and rinsed off in a cold shower. It was definitely a new experience that was interesting, weird, and fun. Then we headed back up the mountain for a traditional Costa Rican lunch with rice, beans, and plenty of other delicious food that I can't pronounce. After lunch I zip-lined on about 5 successive lines though the canopy of the rainforest, then headed back up half-way up the zip-line trail to go down a naturally-watered (by river or stream I guess) water slide that was, count it, 1/4 mile long! It was awesome! So, besides the sunburn, today was great. Today I got to go into the rainforest again and feed monkey's and alligators! Can I say incredible? No, that word definitely isn't strong enough :) Yay being a tourist!
