So, it is HILARIOUS how busy people are getting in this semester. Like for real! To give you an example, the picture is of ONE day in my schedule...

And this isn't an isolated case, its a trend. An email I got read: "Also, if you are on this e-mail list and wish to be removed, reply with REMOVE and I shall do so. We're all so busy these days - no hard feelings!" LOL!

Its a sad thing but its rewarding at the same time.

But, I have to go...I have a meeting to go to! :D

A Popped Bubble

So, the title is meaningless unless you have heard the phrase “Wofford Bubble”.

So, let me explain this phrase to you. “Wofford Bubble” is a term coined by the students of Wofford College as a way to highlight the fact that many students at Wofford are apostate to the world. They simply have no sense as to what is happening around them. Well, there is currently a HUGE grassroots campaign to end this.

WE GET FREE GOOD PAPERS!!!! Ok, what I mean is that the Administration has deemed it a worthy expenditure to provide students with free copies of USA Today and the Wall Street Journal! Now, this comes with the already free Spartanburg Herald-Journal so now we have a plethora of free news sources at our fingertips! All I can say to this is that I am VERY excited about it! I LOVE the news! I am a subscriber to a news-brief of the New York Times Daily Headlines which I use to make sure that I am NOT apostate to the world around me. Moreover, I am trying to get a group of people together to once a day sit together and read up on and subsequently discuss current affairs.

Now, the apostatical students don't do it wilingly, or so I hope but they simply have SO MUCH TO DO! Wofford is a campus that makes its students do a LOT of things. Ok, well it doesn't make us per se but we are encouraged to participate as much on campus as we do in the classroom. This means a TON of things. For the most part, many people are working 20 hours a day on things (ok, I do this but I swear its normal!)

As such, MY bubble has been popped, and so have the bubbles of many of my classmates. I just hope that in the future, students don't have to worry about being inclicted by this “bubble phenomenon”.

HE'S FAMOUS!

So, I am taking chemistry this semester (for non-science majors but chemistry nonetheless) with Dr. Splawn. Dr. Splawn is an excellent teacher (the almost 2 weeks that I've had him anyway!). AND, HE'S FAMOUS NOW!!!!!

Ok, I realize this kinda needs an explanation, well, he was interviewed for a Wofford College video! Yes, I know that this doesn't make him a famous by any means BUT, it does mean that you can hear what type of professors Wofford has. And I must add, that Dr. Splawn is a GREAT one!

The Monotony of My Ears

So, after my first week of classes I feel pretty good. Overall, it is going to be a difficult semester (it is Wofford and it IS college after all). Nonetheless, I feel good about it. And--wait--I HAVE MY FIRST EXAM AND MY FIRST PAPER BOTH HAPPENING THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!! AND NEXT WEEK MY SECOND PAPER AND MY SECOND EXAMS ARE HAPPENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

**pauses** **starts yoga breathing**

It should be all fine. I mean everyone has to do this....well...it should be fine.....

Well, soon enough this year is going to be over (sad, it really is) but then one of you will be here writing about your life...ENJOY!

All First Classes Down....A BILLION Assignments To Go

Wow, so I feel really bad about not doing a blog sooner, but I wanted to do one only after I had gone to all of my classes at least once. And seeing as I have a Thursday only class, that turned into me not saying anything on what I can only guess is a predetermined blogging day by the rest of the bloggers!

Well, my classes all seem to be what they said in the course descriptions! Ok, so that is no introduction to my classes (that does them, or my professors justice) so, lets try that again!

This semester, I really think that I have chosen some good courses to take that will both challenge and enrich both my time here at Wofford and my life in general. ... ... ... Ok, that sounds like some TOTAL lie that you would find in some guidebook but in all honesty, it is the truth! I am taking an introductory Biology course, Sociology course, and Chemistry course. I plan on being a Sociology major so, undoubtedly that will help me. I am in fitness which should act as a good use of my time in that it MAKES me go to the gym! I am taking an English course centered around William Faulkner which should be a nice change from the heavy torture course I took last semester. And lastly, I am taking Public Speaking (the Thursday only course). This is with Professor Powers who taught my Spanish class last semester and I already LOVE the class!

Overall, this semester has been exciting thus-far.

And, yes I did write a letter to the editor and I was debating whether or not to share it with you when someone else did (THANKS MAL!). But I am glad in the end!

A New Semester! Almost...

Well, the Spring Semester starts tomorrow! And I feel sorta bittersweet about it. I mean I'm glad that its starting but....its SOOOO much fun to be on break!

Speaking about break!

There was Rocky Horror at Wofford! It was AMAZING!!!!! They were SOOOO good! :D

We also had some GREAT "pro-wrestling" from another interim class. They spent the month learning how to beat each other up and make it look real. It was SO AWESOME to be able to see this! I might also need to add that I did a little bit of smack-talk to one of the pros that they brought out to wrestle the professors who taught the interim. It was pretty awesome!

And then there was the lake house! It was great! It was a nice time to get away from the world. It was a lake house owned by my friend Oscar's host family (he's an exchange student). Although it started to snow, ice over, it was a great thing to do! :D AAAAANNNNNDDDD it was AAAAAAAMMMMMMAAAAAAZZZZZIIIIIINNNNGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, you will be hearing from me A LOT this week since this is the new semester!
