I didn't post yesterday because I was too busy playing the best game of World of Darkness (a table top LPG). It was amazing, we were trapped in a barn and then attacked by weird vampire scarecrows. It was amazing. I've been working on my short story, as have the others. Mine is set near the all magic city of Vintages and it involves two kids who stumble on a way to raise the dead. I like it so far but there is a lot of editing to be done. I have to say that i'm really not looking forward to leaving, this camp is the best time of my life. I seriously suggest that anyone who likes to write, think, and work with other people should come here.
Yesterday and earlier today we met with Author Tobias Buckell. He gave a talk about plot and character development that so far i have found very useful in my writing. I will pass a piece of his wisdom on to you, for, as Mark Twain says 'good advice is of little use to ones self and is better given to others'. That piece of advice is that, instead of using the word 'was' try to find away to describe the action, this makes the writing more interesting.
Till tomorrow.

I missed a lot of blogging time because my computer has been out of commision. So about Sharred Worlds, what's there to say. Awesome, fantastical, fantabulous and stupendous all come to mind. Like last night we had a talent show and i was responsible for the most amazing flash rave I have ever participated in. That was only last night though, the camp was not all about last night. For the past week we have been creating worlds. We have three worlds so far, Doxis'Olum (the world i'm in), Doegum, and Quatteran. Our world, Doxis'Olum, is a combination of steampunk technology and magic. As far as day to day existence we mostly have creative group time in which we create and write. On weekends we hang out, we went to Barnes and Nobles yesterday and we all got a lot of good books. Tomorrow is the week when we start actually creating charactors and stories. Off to go play trivia.
