Hey Everyone!! Sorry this is so late once again, you know how busy those days get before fall break with midterms, tests, and papers. But anyways, despite all the midterm madness, I had an amazing weekend because it was Diwali on saturday. Diwali is the festival of lights and it symbolizes the new year. It is celebrated by Hindu's and Sikhs worldwide. Since Sikhism comes out of Hinduism, our religion are similar in some senses. We celebrated Diwali at the Sikh Temple in columbia so it worked out perfect because I got to go home on saturday and spend time with the family. Every year I miss out on Diwali since it always falls on a school night, but this year it was on a weekend, so it was awesome! We had a nice prayer ceremony followed by some good indian food. To top it all off, we also had a fireworks display. I was in charge of helping the little kids with fireworks, it was a tough task but I managed all the little ones. It was just so much fun to see everyone and have a good time. We also took alot of pictures that night, but here are a few of them. I hope you like them and Happy Diwali!!!

Hey Everyone!! sorry this post is so late, but I finally got around to it. After a long week of tests and homework assignments, I was so glad that Homecoming Weekend was here. Actually for the past two years, I wasn’t able to go our homecoming games because I either had to go home or was really busy studying for a test. But this year, I decided that I would go. After all, I’ll only be a Wofford senior once. I was so excited and got ready for the game but I realized that I forgot to print my ticket. And when I tried to print it, it woudn’t let me. But in the end, I got my ticket and I got to go the game. It was really good to see all the seniors from last year. By the time we got to the game, it was third quarter and we were winning. I don’t what happened, but we lost the game to Georgia Southern. But anyways, I think everyone had an amazing weekend, and it doesn’t matter if we lost the game because Terriers are always winners :)

Hey Everyone!! These past few days have been crazy but I'll update you about my busy week. So yesterday I had my sheep brain lab practical and it wasn't that bad. However, my microbiology test last was pretty difficult so at this point i'm just hoping for the best. But on a lighter note, yesterday was the Mr. Wofford pageant. I didn't stay the whole time, but I really enjoyed it. All the guys did an awesome job and congrats to Trey Robinson for being crowned Mr. Wofford this year, good job on representing the senior class!! I took some pictures tonight but once I find my USB wire, I will definitely put them up! And today is also the first day of October!! I can't believe september is already over, where does the time go? I'm really looking forward to this week because it's Homecoming!! This will be my last Homecoming weekend at Wofford and I want to make the best of it. But for now I must go do my homework and then the weekend will finally be here. See you all at the game!

So it's week three of school and I feel like I have so much work to do yet so little time. Tomorrow is my first day of my internship at Spartanburg Regional. I'll be shadowing in the Cardiac Catheter Lab, so I'm really looking forward to that. On the other hand, my first microbiology test is on friday and I'm definitely not excited about that. And I found out that my first sheep brain lab practical is next week. So the stress is really getting to me now. I almost forgot to tell you what happened today. So before I typed this blog entry, I was studying for microbiology is my room. I was finally in study mode and I was determined to get some serious studying done. All of sudden the power went out. My roommate Leena yelled my name to see where I was in the apartment. We were all surprised but fortunately the power was back on within a minute. I'm glad it wasn't out for too long. But I know Marsh and Greene had a power outage for a few hours. It must have been quite an experience for those freshmen. But the power was back on later that night and I'm sure they were all happy. Well it's time for me to get back to studying microbiology. I'll let you know how that one goes.

Week 2:
I went to go check my CPO after such a long time today. I thought to myself, maybe i'll get something exciting in the mail. I opened up one of the letters and it was from the Registrar's Office. It was a letter for graduation registration. As I walked out of Burwell, It really hit me. Am I really graduating? Where did the time go? So I went back to my apartment to get a head start on studying for class. This week is going to be a hectic semester since it is the first week of labs and I'm only taking upper level science classes. I think that Neurobiology and Microbiology will be the toughest classes, but i'll take it as a challenge to myself. I have my first lab in neurobiology tomorrow and we get to dissect a sheep brain, so I'm really excited about that. But in the midst of trying to figure out what I need to do for classes, I also realized that my internship as Spartanburg Regional starts next week. This is going to be busy semester, but hopefully I can manage it all. Stay tuned for more!!

Week 1:
Wow, so I can't believe it. This is my last year at Wofford. I'm a senior now! It's crazy how time goes by so fast. It seems like just yesterday, I was trying to find my classes around Wofford and trying to find my place on campus. I remember when I first came here, I was really homesick. I wasn't used to being away from home and living with new people. But as I met new people and got into the hang of classes, it wasn't bad after all. I still remember living on the second floor of Marsh. Our floor was for people who wanted to be Biology majors. Even though I didn't like the small rooms in Marsh, the girls on my hall made it so much fun living there. Since many of us had the same classes, we all had our own little study group. I remember how we would dance and jump around when Botany class would be canceled. And who can forget those first all nighters during exam week. As a senior now, I look back on the the memories of my first year at Wofford and I hope that my last year here is amazing :)
