Memories...

So, it's really funny to me now to walk around campus and see things and people that I saw when I was here on tours and for Scholars' Day and the like.

Like on my very first tour of Wofford, Colleen and I came together with our preacher (who's a Wofford grad). And I remember that we looked at the different carpet in every building. At the end of the day, we decided that the carpet in Olin was our favorite. Now I smile every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday when I go to Spanish because I see those pink carpet squares and remember that day.

I also think I've had class with everyone in my Wofford Scholars interview. It's really funny to think back to my thoughts of them on that day now that I know them and see them everyday. Both Dr. Whisnant and Samie Clowney were the staff members in my interview that day & I it's really neat to see them and know that they helped me be here. Maybe I'm a dork, but I think it's pretty cool.

I always smile to myself when I see people on tours, because I was on those same tours at this time last year & this time next year some of those people who've been touring will be my new classmates. It's a fairly thrilling concept.

It's been on my mind the last few days, I know that Night & Day is coming up and it's probably getting close to time for masses of high school seniors to start anxiously opening their mailboxes looking for acceptance letters and sending in deposits. It's a thrilling time of year, I know how pumped I was to be in March ready for graduation and knowing I had gotten into Wofford.

So, for any of you high school seniors who are reading. Congrats, be excited because these are freakin awesome days. The countdown to graduation is exciting and grows moreso by the day; I know acceptance letters will be on their way soon if they're not already there for those who opted early decision (like me!) Enjoy the end of your senior year, it's gonna be a blast! Good luck to you all in your last days of high school....make sure you make 'em count!

i know this is totally irrelevant to your blog, but ive been thinking about all the sororities at wofford. i know youre not in any of them, so you can be objective. i know theres usually a certain group of people in each sorority--can you give me a little insight?
