Yay! I'm a blogger, I'm a blogger!

Ok, so this may well be one of the most ridiculously thrilling moments of my life! Last year, while I was in the midst of my decisionmaking about Wofford, I read the freshmen blogs religiously and so imagine my excitement this year when I got picked for it. Whoo! And now I'm blogging, and hopefully masses of cool people will read my blog. It's so wonderfully thrilling! Ok....so now I'm done spazzing out, I promise. I guess the next logical thing would be an introduction.

I'm Lisa. A freshman from Piedmont, SC. Piedmont is on the line between Greenville and Anderson county, I live on the Greenville side. I graduated from Woodmont HS, one of the world's most amazing places ever! I miss it a lot, and it's a lot different from Wofford; but still equally amazing.

Let's see, I have one younger sister, Laura. She's a junior this year and absolutely the most amazing sister known to mankind! I talk to her almost every night and she keeps me filled in about everything that's going on at home. We're really close and we did strings and track together. Strings and track are basically my two loves! I'm a sprinter, I run the 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x1 relay, and 4x4 relay. I ran against Laura in the 100m and 200m and she was the first leg of the 4x1 and I was the last leg. Want an amazing athletic competition? Compete against your siblings....things got fairly competitive on race days at our house. I also play the viola, which I love. I've been playing for like 7 years now, I love my baby! (And yes, I really do call her my baby!)

Let's see. I'm hoping to finish a psychology/Spanish double major along with the pre-med program while I'm here at Wofford. I want to be a pediatric neurologist (doesn't that just sound cool?!) or a pediatric dentist. And as far as the pediatric part, it's not like I have anymore feeling toward lil kids than I do anyone else, I just hate that there are some people in this world who make scary stuff for lil kids stay scary. I just want to make an already scary situation less scary if I can, plain and simple.

Okay, now for the random yet extremely important stuff you should know about me....

I don't eat tomatoes. I don't drink milk. I'm scared of the dark. I'm almost always cold. I live for my laptop. I think Facebook is way better than Myspace. I don't ever even attempt to study in my room. I'm addicted to juice and the gym. I love walkin barefoot as much as I can get away with it. I love trees and grass and big fields and sunny days. I am really loud, but in a good way, not obnoxiously so. My mom's from Belize and she's pretty much amazing. I can't cook anything that's not starch or breakfast food. I pretty much live for noodles, bread, potatoes, and anything else you can catergorize as a starch. My favorite color is green...grass and lime. I have trouble going to bed before 2am. I like to go walking at night, things are prettier in the moonlight. I think the full moon is amazing. I love to read fiction! (If you haven't read Wicked by Gregory Macguire, go get it right now....it's AMAZING!) I know almost everyone whereever I am and I am a ridiculously social creature. I like to play Twister. I sing....a lot.

So yeah, pretty much me and my craziness are beginning at Wofford. It's an experience....but right now I'm off to study...Spanish and Bio tests this week....aaaaaah! Later ya'll!
